Hi Mote. Sorry to hear about the crash. I've been unable to replicate, but I'll investigate if there's any improvements I can make to how resources are handled at the start of the level, to reduce the chance of crashes.
When the game crashes, does it crash the second the level is chosen, or is it during the 'tutorial' bit where a character talks to the player to explain the story, etc. There's also a bit at the start of the level where there's a breakdown of how many enemies are on the level and what type they are.
After you say 'ok' to this screen is when the biggest spike in memory usage / cpu happens so if your crash is happening there I can definitely look into improving the resource handling. If it's happening before then I don't have as many options for tweaking performance.
Also worth trying is going into options from the title screen and turning Music off. This'll reduce the resources being loaded in at the start of a level.
Sorry to hear that. I've been unable to replicate the issue. Does it crash the first time you try and select a level or does it work most times and only seem to crash after playing for a while?
I've released a new version of the game with an optimised level select screen. I'm hoping this will fix your issue, as I'm not seeing it on my device. But a lot of people have described issues with lag so I'm hoping this version will be a little smoother.

The game crashes when selecting the first level and forces a machine restart. Any possible solution?

crashes during level select 😬

I have not been able to play yet. It crashes when selecting a stage. It lags really badly selecting the left to right stage select then just crashes
